1.  The contents of IJNS are divided by Editor-in-Chief invited articles and free submitted original papers.

2.  The Editor-in-Chief invited articles are (i) review paper of specific areas to introduce readers about research or technical trend concerned with nuclear safety and the related simulation technology, and noticeable trends dealing with nuclear energy from international, industrial and social aspects, (iii)Educational program and laboratory reviews and (iii) lecture notes for students and young researchers and engineers to give readers comprehensive basic knowledge on specific topics.

3.  The free submitted original papers are classified into the four kinds of (i) research papers and research reviews which have originality in concepts, scientific findings, and new methodologies in theory formation, new discoveries, etc. by extensive literary reviews, experiment or analyses, (ii) technical report (originality in technical methods, tools, products, etc.) and (iii) short note (the same classes of originalities in (i) and (ii) with fast reporting but not so rigid academic validation). The acceptance of free submitted original papers for the publication of IJNS is determined through the due review process by the international editorial board.

4.  The scope of the original paper is classified into the following four areas as shown below;

Category No. Explanation
Category 1  Integrated aspect of energy system (ex. Multipurpose utilization of nuclear energy, nuclear fuel cycle, plant decommissioning, comparative study of nuclear energy with other energy technologies, etc.)
Category 2  Reactor physics, thermal-hydraulics, nuclear fuel behavior, reactor core and plant behavior
Category 3  Sensors, instrumentation and control, testing and maintenance, human-machine interface
Category 4  Methodologies of safety evaluation such as reliability, risk and the related human factors studies from social, environmental and economic aspects.
